EGR Replacement any thing else whilst I am at it...

I am going to replace both EGR Valves and was wondering what else is worth doing as preventative maintenance whilst I have the top of the engine stripped to get at the EGRs..

I have seen reference to changing the plastic thermostat housing. I have no water leaks so not sure this is necessary unless its a definite 85k failure item.

TIA. L322 2007 TDV8 3.6

You might consider changing the thermostat housing due to the plastic having become brittle and if it fails then the engine could get cooked. They're best replaced before they fail.
