Is this tyre good enough for an MOT?

I haven't done a single mile in my full fat since the end of August last year and the MOT ran out in September. I've now booked it in for the end of Feb to see how it fares and what is flagged up either as a major or advisory so I can tackle these in the Spring. My nearside tyre is feathered quite a bit on the outer edge/shoulder, however the tread across the width is a constant 4mm. I have a brand new tyre on my spare wheel which I could put on just for the MOT itself if required but would like your opinion as to whether it's worth the swap.

It's got tread across most of the width so will just be an advisory IMO. I'd sort out your wheel alignment or suspension wear though if tyres are wearing unevenly 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

My understanding is that you need 75% of the tread width to be legal.

My Westie went through an MOT with a couple of Conti's looking like that. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey
