Basics first. Do you connect android or iPhone. That is key information as android won’t show the track listings.

Secondly, have you got songs in Apple Music on your phone if you use an iPhone. If not then it won’t work.

Thirdly did you try it direct with the cable to the phone? That way you eliminate a problem with the Bovee and focus on the cable.

And just for good measure, you are connected via Bluetooth to that device and not just to the car aren’t you?

As above, you need to have at least one music track saved on the phone's music app - not a streaming app, otherwise it won't work.

I've had a separate problem where the 30-pin socket was the issue. I suspect that someone had had it out in the past and hadn't fully seated the cable that connects to the rear of the socket. Interestingly, I pulled out the socket I found that it's the same 30-pin receptacle on both sides - so you can actually use it back to front if you want. Anyway, make sure the cable connected to the rear of the socket, and the one you've plugged into the front are fully seated.

Thanks for the guidance. I thought I would be okay as I have numerous songs within Apple Music, but I did notice that if I load the app and play a song from Apple music on my iPhone it springs into life.

Problem solved, thanks all. Current: Range Rover L322 4.4tdv8, Porsche 911 (996) Carrera 2, BMW 535d Touring, Skoda Fabia, BMW S1000XR
