Battery, I think ?

Had a flat battery so charged it up and put back in , got code u01055 .
No rev counter , temp gauge goes straight into the red and of course suspension inactive.
Played around a bit and somehow it cured itself overnight but now code and faults returned.
Battery showing 12.2 v at rest and 13.8 when ticking over .
Bad battery??

Or alternator if it's under 14v when ticking over. Over 12v with engine not running is OK. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
