Problems are limited to the GMT model. Look up "BB GMT date issue". All the rest are pretty solid. I owned the blue Pelagos, very happy with it.

Not being silly, but if you look at fleabay, there are some USA sellers, specialists, offering great deals . One from memory uses a German office. Of course there is a risk of getting a dud, but there are at least two very large legit sellers on there. Worth a peek. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Your best option would be a Rolex Service Center. I believe there's a RSC in London. Try giving them a call.

If you've not got a Rolex Authorised Dealer locally, you could try a mainstream local jeweller, they're usually owned by Aurum group so should be able to send your watch away to an approved Rolex Service Centre or an approved Workshop, be careful using watch repair centres, some use generic Rolex parts and not genuine Rolex parts.

The RSC is in St James in London. I’ve used them before but in recent times, there have been a few reports on a watch forum I’m on that they’re not quite as flawless as they used to be.
If you use an AD, they will just ship it to the RSC on your behalf and charge you for the pleasure. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

There’s also a Rolex Service Centre in Kent, I’ve heard similar stories about the London RSC. Unless there’s a genuine reason to service a watch, I don’t tend to bother. Breitling are no better, my Navitimer came back with different coloured lume on the hands compared to the dial.

Seiko make some fantastic watches , as do Breitling
Vintage is where it’s at for me , but there are some nice contemporary ones out there 4.2 SC - sold , now bought back
