I’ve recently moved from an L322 to an L405 which has the Westfalia detachable tow bar frame and lighting socket, but unfortunately the removable tow bar swan neck was misplaced by the previous owner.

Having searched the forum, eBay and various tow bar supplier websites, I haven’t been able to find the swan neck for sale as a separate item.

Does anyone have a suitable one that they would be willing to sell? Alternatively, is anyone aware of a supplier that sells them individually?

I haven’t managed to speak to them yet, will try again next week.

They only have the full kits available on their website and I haven’t been able to find the part number for the removable bit, rather than the whole assembly - if anybody has that or could send a close up photo of the numbers stamped on the side, that would be very much appreciated and assist in the search.

You might be lucky as, from talking to them about the L322 bars, the guy on the phone gave the impression that the similar part you want will wear and is being kept as a service replacement item even thought the armature is no longer made for the L322. Perhaps the same applies to your L405.

There's a brand new one on Ebay with it's storage box for £325 with 'make an offer'. Search for 'Range Rover swan neck'.

The 405 one doesn’t come with a storage box. Just a bag.

I’ve got the same bar on my car. Might be worth a call directly to Westfalia in Stafford to see if they can sort you one out. I managed to order a Brink Swan neck on its own for an old BmW so I would imagine it should be possible. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Would take a keen eye to spot the difference between that and a 322 bar! Never realised they were that similar…
