Does anybody know what the boost (turbo) actuator is called in the workshop manual? I’ve been trying to find information on it but can’t for the life of me track it down, scrolling through or using the word search.

Charge air valve or something like that. (No.4)
Replacement are available as pattern now for about £80 on eBay. They list as secondary turbo shut off valve. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-4-TDV8-SECOND...635-2958-0
OK so the bit that sticks is called the shut off valve vacuum actuator and connect to the shut off valve mechanism.. (no. 5) Basically rave tells you to take the whole valve body out from underneath. There doesn’t seem to be a specific set of procedures for replacing just the actuator, but as said they are available off Maltings etc for about 80. So it’s a whip the whole lot out job, change the actuator, put it back in. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜 FFRR 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography Santorini Black. I’ve removed mine as part of other work. It came out fairly easily and quickly.

So things have taken an interesting turn (and I suspect for the best). After winning the auction, and has had been said on some negative reviews of Reading no reserve auctions (Sterling Cars, Reading), I called a few times to arrange to view / collect the car. Each time I was told that I needed to speak to the manager as the FFRR was at the garage and they weren't sure why.

There’s nothing stopping you registering to view both BCA & Manheim auctions online.
