That looks great, a bit pricey but if it brings the infotainment up to date it seems like a justifiable purchase.

I questioned post 2010 on Facebook and was told it does. But the advert says to 2010 only.
Talk about confusing customers Rolling Eyes Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Can I just clarify, does this provide Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, or is it literally just a screen mirroring box of tricks and you need to control it all on your phone?

The base product appears to be just an HDMI input to the screen.

There's then an additional £50 'mirroring device' as an upgrade.

So no CarPlay - just a mirror of your phone's screen.

So what’s the point if it only mirrors your phone but can’t be controlled via vehicle touch screen? I don’t get it Rolling Eyes Whistle Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

@JNC - exactly my thoughts!

@Dr Rob - Indeed and for that money you’d really want a better display.

Irrespective of other bits, I wouldn’t want to lose the factory DVD functionality to my RSE. Think the more involved Carplay mod is the way to go if you can manage it….. for 2010 onwards cars at least. I think the network protocol speeds changed on the fibre network on the last cars.

I still have dvd function on RSE with flick of a switch.

My setup works well but it’s not a plug and play solution.
If I could find a source of the necessary plugs and sockets I could make something.

The factory screens are smaller than an iPad but retains the OE look.
