Why spec up a vogue?

Hi,
Looking at a 2013 4.4 Vogue with 63000 a which is priced well.

It has been advertised as an SE but I have worked out that it’s just a Vogue.

It seems odd though as it has pan roof, parking cameras, 22 wheels and deployable steps etc.

Is there a common reason someone may spec up a vogue and avoid an SE?

The reg is WJ13FCC if anyone has the ability to spec check it?

Thanks for any help

You’ll probably find that it doesn’t have climate seats or adaptive cruise control, which are standard on the VSE. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Pano roof is standard.

Steps & 22" wheels are extra on all models (I think).

VSE & AB are basically options packs with a discount.

VSE would have cooled front seats, the 825w music system and other bits, but if you don't want those, then no reason not to stick with a Vogue. The spec varies a bit year on year - I can't remember whether the dual view front screen was a VSE toy.

If you know the VIN, there are online decoders that will provide the spec & options. From the registration, all you can really do is confirm it's an SDV8 Vogue.

The other big difference is the leather, Vogue gets standard leather and the SE gets semi-aniline, but I think they both have a vinyl dash? It certainly doesn’t match the seats like it does in the AB. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

As Martin says the AB has more leather including the dash panel and it might if specced include the headlining.

I think Pano Sliding roof was an option actually.....on my build sheet they highlighted it and said it was optional and so was the double locking and soft close doors but I actually thought they were all part of the VSE spec. all smug in my new plug!

Check the Minors on its Last MOT were attended to.

One was a CV boot.

Put the reg into the LR PX valuation tool and it comes up as a Vogue, do the same with mine and it comes up with an AB so it does recognise model variation.

So I would say it’s a specced up Vogue, rather than an VSE, someone has added steps and 22”, reversing camera was standard, it’s the 360 cameras which are the option. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

If you ring a LR main dealer parts department , such as site sponsor Duckworth LR, and give them the registration number or VIN, they can supply the car spec and any options.

Ps… we have a Vogue that was spec’d up… no idea why that was and don’t really care but it’s very nice Laughing

I’m with Ryan,

If it’s nice and tidy and seems well cared for then there’s no reason to discount it because it’s “just” a vogue. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
