Why would you need to replace the airbag relay? I would expect that the relay is only used when deploying airbags… so should not have been used.

Unless the suggestion is that they degrade over time regardless of use? Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

I have the air bag light that is on most of the time and a starter motor that once in a blue moon fails to work
After reading your post, for the sake of the cost of replacing the relays, against the work involved in pulling the thing apart and not finding the problem, I think replacing the relays is a good place to start
Looking on google, there are a lot of people asking “where is the starter relay”
No one seems to be able to answer the question, some say it behind the battery but those who have looked, say its not
“Airbag relay is in the back corner, mine is grey and should be a 70amp unit, not sure about the rest as my car is different”
If you mean in the back near the spare wheel, that one on mine is the aircon relay, I think RR 2005 4.4 petrol
