England 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Mine were done at around 70,000 by the previous owner who wanted to future proof his pride and joy that was a keeper for him until he wanted the money for a business deal...

He had it done at a specialist but used genuine parts throughout including new injectors, came to a little over £3,000 all in...

I've heard of prices between £1,200 and £8,000 for the same job, personally I wouldn't let a dealer do it, IMHO the quality of work from dealers is nowhere near that received from a good indie who values his customer base...

I did a poll a while ago, it came to no set conclusion...!!

.

Hey Haylands / Pete

Interesting to say the least - I think I would agree on letting a good indie do the job - you always seem to be a number when at main dealer.

I just hate it when the service person comes out and calls you by your surname - even though you have been going to the same place for over 5 years.

I know my local garage ( a good little one in that ) - always when I turn up he calls me by my christian name and always says hows the kids - way before " right wear are the car keys " we are on a timer !!!!

Pete - thx for posting interesting and sounds like you got a good deal there at 70K

Yes we have done several, ranging from 80k - 300k but not all of them will need chains in their lifetime... I have a local towing company who run LPG'd 322 5.0's and 2 out of the 5 have had chains... 2 of the non changed chain cars have covered north of 300k...

Hope this helps sir... Thumbs Up
