They get mentioned a bit in the Steve Saxty book, Secret Fords Vol 1. They looked at doing a Cortina coupe too, and there was a 2 door Mk2 Granada, but not in the UK.

My Dad had a red consul GT with go faster black stripes as a company car, bit edgier than the Granada Holland and Holland Range Rover By Overfinch |

Had a 3 ltr Granada Ghia as a tow barge (in the background on right). Fantastic car and never let me down despite eventually having 150,000 on the clock. So unlike the heap of sh** masquerading as a Volvo 265 which replaced it. Would love to have another Granada as a usable classic.

The Sweeney car was a Consul GT. There was a potential issue with the use of the Granada name with Granada TV. Got settled eventually and the Granada name was used.
