Sometimes I can see 'LAND ROVER' and 'FORERUNNER 245' listed on my iphone. However, everting the usual suspect numbers as a PIN fails to elicit a connection i.e. '0000' '1234' '8888'.

What is hidden in my car and what functionality is it likely to offer me? Calls? Music streaming?

But don't get too excited, it is just phone calls and in my opinion it isn't great either with unreliable connection in my opinion.

I've upgraded my system to naviplus and I just use that for calls with Apple CarPlay.

Thanks. I'll give that a try. I googled naviplus but it only seems to be compatible for 2009+ models. --------
