Well, I voted for the 4.4 in the poll…. To me, the only real thing to watch for is the oil cooler leaking…. And you can see that.

Out of interest what was the rule on vehicle taxation changes? Is it up to and including’55 plate is on lower vehicle tax? Which would be End of March 2006

The earlier non touchscreen TD6, based on BMW infotainment system is easier to get upgrades for I recon.

I think TD6 is probably the way forward, and then move to a 4.4TDV8 later from the comments given budget constraints on initial purchase. Pre ‘06 plate to take advantage of the lower tax (why not?) and have a safety net for any major repairs.

This could be a cheap 4.4 TDV8 if a forced regen sorts the DPF issue??
