Could someone with working surround cameras be good enough to post a photo of the underside of one of their door mirror casings please?

Just to confirm sorry, that is an L322 yep? (Maybe just my memory of what my previous car was like (but in my defence, you don't tend to spend much time looking at the bottom of the mirrors haha)) & that camera does work correctly?

I presume the circle more outboard / without the surround is the puddle light. The other hole though (i.e. the camera one), does that have any sort of lense in the mirror casing or are you able to stick your finger probably 3/4" into the hole? (I can't quite make it out on the picture sorry)

(I'm just trying to find out if there is a lense in the hole to help figure out if the car I have on the way needs a new camera in there or a mirror casing with lense, it's showing a signal but with just a grey screen (the other side is the same physically but the camera shows no signal so that doesnt help in the is-there-a-lense-in-the-mirror-casing question))

Is anyone able to assist with a similar pic of an L322 mirror please?

There's not much in the way of L322 dealers round here unfortunately. When I checked sometime ago every L322 within 50 miles none of them had cameras (& every single one had black interior which I didn't want).

That certainly seems to be the cameras own lense.

Hopefully that has at least answered my question (for 1 side anyway) of does it need camera or just lense.

I’m sorry I haven’t taken mine apart. No idea whether it is one unit or whether the lens is separate. Mine are a bit intermittent but compared to what I had on the Mercedes’ GL rather bad quality anyway. So I never bothered checking it other.

My advice, just leave it. They aren’t worth it.

There's certainly a lense on the camera. Your pic seems to show that lense so it look like its the only 1.

If it was a couple of years into owning it I may agree but as it's new (to me) I was planning on getting it right on day 1, then see how it goes.

Nope, the lens is not separate. It's the same camera as in the front bumper but has the puddle light also integrated.

This model is without puddle light, blind "hole" on left side.
