A lot of people just take it off. It gets in the way when washing and is a dirt trap. I would not link the removal with a body repair. |

This is an easy job. On a few of the RR`s I have had the lettering has been dull bits missing, loose etc so I just remove the lot and replace with a new chrome set. They are cheap and come complete with a template for easy alignment. The hardest part is removing the old glue, a toffee wheel makes it a lot easier.

unusual to have the lettering missing...i would think the tailgate has been repainted or replaced and the owner hasnt bothered or got round to putting new lettering on.. ... - .- -.

I had my bodywork refreshed a few months ago, tail gate had rust dots starting. I’ve not got around to putting mine back on, was only tiny rust spots nothing major but want to keep it nice 😊 |
