No Audio from head unit (2011MY)

Hi,

No audio from the radio(DAB and normal)/cd/nav. The screen still works and the button (on/off) still lights.

I had this a couple of times on my RRS (2010MY) and it came back on the next day, but knew I was PX'ing so never got round to sorting it.

The searches on here are for later cars with module problems.

We have still to get the battery re-call done, could this be related, or just another beautiful FFRR feature!

And when it goes in for the battery should I get them to check......something.....amp...module....

Any help much appreciated!

Cheers,

Grant

Sounds very strange indeed (sorry for the pun)! Do you have the 'Standard' or Upgraded sound system? Have you been contacted about the battery recall?

Just the bog standard sound system (on the Vogue).

Still not heard about the battery upgrade 'officially' from the dealer....

when this problem happens grant, film it with a phone camera etc and produce this video to the dealer, otherwise they wont believe you and fob you off with a lame excuse.... ... - .- -.

Good idea about filming it!

Thanks.

I get the feeling it is going to be one of those quirks....

A bit like the rocking seat on the Disco, knocking suspension on the RRS and battery problems on the FFRR. They may know about it but can't be Censored to fix it properly.

Anyway, beautiful sunny day here. Time to relax with a beer (and it is Two for Tuesdays at Dominos....)

Cheers,

Grant

I'm so glad all my FFRR's have been good ones Very Happy

No sound from the MID unit occurs in all variants and all years - the vehicle shuts down none-essential power hungry systems when the battery is struggling. Land Rover Addict
