I always try to drive soft over bumps etc.
When I don’t slow down Over bumps i don’t even feel the bump but will that hurt suspension elements?
Some guys say that’s built for that don’t worry nothing will happen.
Is there anyone who drives these really hard ?

I drive mine fast within the legal limits. Considering that traffic calming measures are normally in a area for a reason I just stay within the speed limit and take them. No need slow down further, or go on strange angles or anything like that in my opinion.

Off road it gets a lot more 'abuse'...

There's a shopping complex near me called Fort Kinnaird. At one section, they have speed bumps so terrible that even going slow, on a standard car, you scrape the undercarriage. The thump of going over them too (and I mean crawling in first) does give you a jolt.

All of the above is how my wife drives it! lol 155k later and nothing more than usual wear and tear to report.

I on the other hand drive like i have an uncracked egg on the bonnet and prefer to gently waft around, i save the bumps for the defender, which whilst not as comfortable is more comfortable if you drive over them with some speed!

Exactly u feel nothing when u go faster over bumps for normal cars.
But I can’t stop thinking mechanics and slow down

What is the point of having this vehicle if you don't use it...

When I lived in Darwin, they introduced speed bumps along a road that was used by a lot of cars. We found it more comfortable to drive over the bumps at speed in my Discovery rather than slow down for them.

I'm not going to lie, I do drive mine as though I still think I'm driving my old Saab 9-5 aero. Having owned it for 9 years (Saab) it's a very hard habit to get out of. I still like to waft down the motorway at 90 because even at that speed you really are still wafting. I'm now getting used to not flying around bends as quick but I was quite surprised how well it handles around bends and corners at speed for such a high and heavy car. The only thing I can't get used to yet, is when your driving at 30mph it feels like your only doing 10mph, it feels just so damn slow and keep expecting to be overtaken by cyclists. Probably because it's such a smooth comfy ride and not feeling the bumps. And I really love it's built in party trick, which is when your flying along the motorway, the cars in front just seem to move out of your way as in, "I'll move over for you sir". But still loving every minute of driving it.
