Why Apple iPhones?

Just like FFRR I think Apple iPhones are ludicrously expensive, it’s just a smart phone … the last time I upgraded a couple of years ago , I swallowed hard and paid the money. The main reason was the companies main intent in making their money from hardware and apps & not from advertising.

Anyway today I now know it was a good idea, in the regular software upgrades, there is a new level of protection. Ie to stop companies loading sinister bits into a simple email that once opened , not an attachment just the Mail, permits them to follow you. Whilst I’m not worth following , I really don’t like the advertising that comes with it.

Anyway. Just the thought of the day, Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

I use an iPhone because I get hand me down phones. I haven't ever bought any of the 5 or 6 iPhones nor any of the 3 or 4 iPads. All were hand me downs. Ron B. VK2OTC

The new 15.1 weather app is funky.

As for who is listening, whilst I don’t really care, I wasn’t very happy when my new LG TV did an upgrade and then said more or less
“ you can’t use any of the smart the facilities of the smart TVs unless you allow the tv to connect to everything in the house”
And another time ….

Add family sharing to that list and it's why I have an iPhone as well. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

I have got an iPhone and iPad which I really like.

Integration indeed; multi factor authentication and autofill sms messages codes is brilliant. But general security and privacy matters a lot to me as well.

And then there is battery life, it’s just really good.

Every now and then I get an itch as I did get a Samsung two months ago. But my gosh it was inconsistent. Not even a decent email application that can format mail messages to fit within the screen. And battery drain left right and Center. And then too many choice for payment with Samsung pay, with Google pay, and neither are that fast.

But what broke my short diversion to being unacceptable is Android Auto. My gosh what a mess that is, they should really look at Apple CarPlay on how to do this.

Had the first iPhone and then a long series of Androids. Just gone with a 13pro and to be honest they are so similar now in the OS and usability there isn’t much in it and the transition was easy It was the camera on the apple that was the decider. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

For me… it’s muscle memory!

While both iPhones and android phones do far more than what we all need, it’s the hassle of re-learning what icon does what or where is that app for the “thing” I want to do.

I used to do lots of driving around the country and had my 60gb iPod with my entire music collection on it. When the iPhone came out with iTunes it meant I only needed to carry one device! That was it, I was then hooked into the apple ecosystem! I now have lots of apps I’ve purchased for me and the family via family sharing, screen time for the kids, Apple Pay, and their watch too. Plus iPads… which I don’t believe there are equivalent android versions…

These days I use Spotify, so could move away from apple if I desire (and a number of friends have done just that). I would just need to re-purchase those apps I really need…oh and buy new android phones for everyone else too Laughing Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8
