We've recently (2-years since) entered a solar minimum period (and no lefty woke types [who are only after your hard-earned cash] can change this) which means generally fewer sunspots, and so less solar activity that, in a roundabout electrical ion sun-wind kind of way, warms/heats the planet. So for the next 12-years or so things could get REALLY cold. It can sometimes, as it has in the past, extend to almost 50-years, but fluctuations are always possible. And the sun can sometimes punch out an irregular or huge prominence or such, which can alter temps. There was a period some hundreds of years ago were the recorded sun-spot activity over a 50-year period or so was less than it might be during a normal year or so, and consequently those years were like a mini ice age. And you probably know all about them... Science lesson over... I bet you wasn't even asking that question, was you? |

Yes indeed, much colder times were between around 1200-1400AD and with cold and colder fluctuations right up to around 1840 or so. Much of this was due to volcanism predominantly from Iceland, but also secondarily from other regions of the world. The most celebrated little ice age times was nearer 1816, when Tambora, in Asia, blew it's top with 1000-times the explosive energy than the 2010 Icelandic event, which stopped planes flying in parts of the northern hemisphere. Yes I've seen research papers (from way before the man-made global warming lunacy {there probably ain't none] came to town) detailing about freshwater and sea water emanating from tributary parts of Canada and this, it has been suggested, can play tricks with the warmer, gulf stream flows, which bring warmer water from southern seas, in a kind of continued flow. This has changed through history, as have the magnetic poles, and Boris and his green and Co2 lunacy and spending of our taxes (it goes right into their offshore bank accounts) on this lefty green garbage won't matter zilch. In the last two years there has been an unprecedented increase in snow and ice - and the polar bears and other creatures are doing just fine - in the northern climes and the pole, contrary to what the tin foil hat brigade tell us. What we should be doing, at least at some level, is prepping for colder climes over the next at least 10 years or so - which could extend to 50-years or so - rather than being convinced that rusting wind-turbines and toxic solar panels and electric car batteries are gonna save the day, cause they ain't. Plus it seems there is only enough raw materials on the WHOLE planet for around 600-million fully electric running cars... This might seem a lot at first, but I got a shock recently at seeing just how many normal vehicles are popped out globally each years... Now where's my ski suit!!! |
