Is there a mileage limit on these warranties? I read somewhere 100k is their limit unless the cover is continuous. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

‘Warranty Wise’ is worth exploring. |

you can split the payments of the AU warranty. I pay £129 a month. Which is extortionate peace of mind. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I tried Warranywise but they want to contact me “to discuss” my enquiry. I really don’t like when companies do that, so I’ll ignore then for now. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Well, I have a warranty wise policy on my 2013,£80 odd per month , it’s heading in for major work this week, not sure if everything’s covered , shall report back. Pal swears by motor easy for his r8, they inspect before cover . |

Thanks Guys thats a helpful insight. I understand the Landrover Warranty is limited to 100k miles. It will be interesting to hear Mr Tee's impending experience of his claim with Warrantywise. When I purchased my vehicle from the dealer in October he offered to sell me their warranty for the second year which was apparently "very similar" to Landrovers and it was about £1100. I decided to wait and see what Landrover quoted first.

The LR warranty is an insurance policy provided by Car Care Plan and branded LR. Dealers have to get approval from them to do work. I’ve had extended warranties on both FFRRs I’ve owned; on the first I made 3 claims without issue and on the current car just one (rear diff seal) no issue there either. Cars have MD servicing too, so that might be a factor |

If yours is a new car, then it will be a manufacturer warranty. Extensions to that, and the Approved Used warranties are provided by car care plan. Both my FFRRs were AU, whilst the previous Freelanders and RRSs were bought new and I extended the factory warranty when it ran out. |

I suspect that they are simply trying to avoid some of the regulation that surrounds insurance products.

the approved used warranty is different from the extended warranty after that, once out of the 1 year AU the continuation is normally administered by car care plan (or has been in the past anyway).

Just an update, they've wriggled out of covering items claimed for. Won't go into specifics, however, I've now cancelled the cover with immediate effect. Upset, yes, but not really surprised. Age old adage, if you'd only saved up what you've spunked on a warranty over the last 3 years, you'd have enough to cover the parts and have a damn fine holiday. Caveat Emptor.. I can see an early beer for Mr Tee the day. |
