Diff issue or rear brake grabbing? | |
Hi everyone, first post on here so please be gentle! Great forum and hopefully Someone here will be able to help me.
I’ve recently purchased a 2009 tdv8 and
I have this strange occurrence which happens occasionally, which feels like the car is grabbing one of the rear brakes, ever so slightly, just after pulling away. It’s not like they are binding, more like a quick grab, as if it’s getting a failed reading from one of the rear wheel speed sensors. The fault is much more prominent if the car pulls away on a loose surface, and in this instance it then continues to do it when back onto tarmac, up until the car gets up to a reasonable speed, where the feeling disappears.
I notice there are different makes of tyres on each of the rear wheels which may be giving the wheels different rotational speeds?
There are no warnings displaying on the dash, and I’ve tried turning the DSC off to see if that resolved the issue but with no luck.
Any help would be really appreciated.
