From what I have read, the cars most likely to be stolen are early classics and L405's, but it would give you peace of mind which is priceless. You also appear to live in an area more susceptible to car theft than my North Wales location, so over-all a good idea, go for it. |

Just who in their right mind would steal an L322?

One that takes seconds to cut through with a battery grinder! Think about how quiet your car is with the doors closed, for the 20-30seconds it takes to cut through! Far better to get an immobilizer sir... |

Unless your insurance company recognizes and gives you a discount or lowers the excess is it worth spending a lot on security?

You can get exactly the same type of unit from ampire.de at a 1/3rd of the cost if you're good with a soldering iron. Christian. Current Cars 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 2020 BMW M4 Competition 2019 BMW X4 My RR Blog: www.facebook.com/L322Project or https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic61540.html |

Its an L322, they are very cheap vehicles. Insurance and the standard security is plenty sufficient...I'd rather have them take it to be never seen again than being thwarted in their attempt, and have damage created in the mean time and being uneconomical to repair which they will be at the age they are now.
