Probably, but I prefer to have the cable option to keep my phone charged.

Yes Stan,
Slide in bracket , then unit stuck to backplate using 2 double sided Velcro patches.
I have formed a loom with the three cables from the unit, into the top glovebox through the lower glovebox , then behind the side carpet to the gap between the passenger seat and the tunnel.., where the phone lead comes up to the centre tray to keep my phone connected and charging. The power lead and Aux cable carry on under the rear carpet and then plug in. I don’t want to make it too permanent, because one advantage is being able to use it in other cars when needed. More pictures available if needed. Mike. G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999 V reg 2.5td P38 Rioja red 1999- 2006 53 reg td6 Vogue Oslo blue 2006- 2015 11 reg 4.4 TdV8 Vogue SE. I like the final position.
I think I can do it better, but will run with it like this for a few days , then try again. The main problem I am trying to get round is how to hide the wiring, but at the same time be able to quickly remove the unit when I park up so it won’t get pinched. Mike. I should have said, the loom just folds away into the top glovebox when not in use, but it looks neater when in use with the 3 leads separate, so I may I untape them and re- think.( the joys of being retired, plenty of time to play around.)

I’ve tried that but it keeps disconnecting again , but I have no problem with it when I reconnect it to the car.
