And we thought 4x4 drivers could park badly

I've seen this Mazda parked like this in the NCP I use in Stirling and finally remembered to take a photo. I the same carpark there are parking slots that at 1.5 x normal width at beside the emergency exits - so there is a walkway on one side of the car and then a 1.5x width parking slot - those are the ones I go for and really the driver of the Mazda could - problem is the big slots are half a carpark away from the normal entrance/ exit doors to each deck.

This time of the year space isn't a problem so the attendants probably don't worry that there are sometimes two cars parked like that - the top two decks of the carpark are closed and there are still 2 decks almost empty at that - might have something to do with Stirling Council forcing NCP to rack up the rate to 50p for 20 minutes and opening their own out of town park and ride car-parks that cost £1 all day and that includes a shuttle bus into the middle of the town and that also stops at the Royal Infirmary, Industrial estates and the park. From parking in the out of town (which I do when I take the Defender) it's is 10 minutes trip into the city centre, but a hassle if you have kids and lots of shopping. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

to be honest go in any tesco/sainsbury car park and you see that every day - even at busy times

in my village there is a guy who parks 'on street' at about 45 degree angle

lets just face it some people lack the ability/confidence to park correctly especially when it involves reversing Mr. Green

They probably park like that to stop oiks from bashing their cars with their doors or scratching the sides of their cars with handbags. My A4 cab now has scratches on both sides from my wife taking her car to work (NHS car park) and the Mazda got a dented front wheel arch from someone turning too soon out of their space (probably in a 4x4 Smile ) .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

I park like that at my local supermarkets - if any one says anything I just say - no problem - I will park correctly if they are willing to pay for the dents and scratches ! After which the vast majority agree with me and some have even started doing the same Wink
