Any early thoughts would be helpful as I'm about 3000 miles away, and if it's terminal I'm just going to dump the car with the dealer, I've not the time nor the patience on this unfortunately. |

No, it was an Indy down in Leicester. I'm hoping it's just the battery, on the drive home there wasn't a whiff of bother or any indication of trouble. Then the car was left for about 4 days and the faults popped up, gearbox one seems to have just been transient, just engine system fault remaining now?????

sounds like a battery related issue to me, i'd stick a new battery on anyway - cars are often left on a dealer forcourt with flat batteries for weeks, then when sold they are knackered and can only hold a limited charge. I had mine tested and it read ok, but it was goosed. A new battery sorted it. For the sake of £100 odd quid I'd eliminate the battery first - and claim it back off the selling dealer. Or get them to pay for it in the first place, its a cheaper first option for them than calling them or another garage out. |

Yup if I were a gambling man I'd say battery. Bit of an update, had the father-in-law put a multi-meter on the battery to see if it was anything obvious, 12v resting and 15v with the engine running

Got back yesterday, can't believe the weather, sunny Blackpool is actually starting to live up to it's name, though it was pretty fine all the way up.
