Mega flush on the south coast

Hi all, I am looking for someone to do a mega flush on my gearbox on the south coast of England. I am on the Isle of Wight, so as close as possible would be good, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am on Sandbanks and can see you from my roof.

I highly rate New Forest Garage Services
Unit 2, The Yews Southampton Rd, Cadnam, Southampton SO40 2NG
023 8081 1973

They are owned by Joe Rose one of the best 4x4 modifiers in the country. He used to own Muddy Bottom the green laning place. And he's got Roy Hardy working there who was the Chief Technician at LR Christchurch for 18 years. Together their experience is fantastic.

I won't take mine anywhere else. Tell them Matt sent you.

AJ Land Rover in Alton have a Megaflush machine. Not used them myself but have met Archie the owner who is "spot on" Thumbs Up

If you just need a normal gearbox oil change then plenty of independent specialists around south coast can do it but I agree with Matt, New Forest 4x4 is your closest place to the ferry for this Thumbs Up
Matt - does Roy have a Megaflush machine? Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

ZF say just do a filter and oil change. I've read pro's and cons of doing a megaflush so just went with a filter and oil change from a trusted auto gearbox specialist. Also don't forget the diff's and transfer oils. Are you wanting this doing just as preventative maintenance or have you got a problem with the gearbox? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Dr Rob :- thank you, I have sent them a message this morning.

Jayzee:- I have also read pros and cons for both oil change and mega flush, but have decided mega flush is the way to go for me. It is just a preventative measure, as I have just bought the car and am going right through it, full service, super charger service, gearbox, transfer box, diffs, everything. It all works at the moment and I want to keep it that way.

Hi Ollie,

I hear you and completely agree.
I am not sure how many FFRRs you have had previously but there is definitely a balance to find between preventative work and not messing with things that are working. i.e. don't fix what's not broken kind of thing.

Warm regards,

Matt
