Disconnecting the Battery

How long can I disconnect the battery before causing problems ?? i want to change the Steering wheel, so need to disconnect it because of the airbag. Not sure how long it will take as I need to change the spoke covers as well.

What problems are you expecting with the battery disconnected?

Once you disconnect the battery, (make sure the car is unlocked, that you have the keys in your pocket and a door is open) the car is dead, nothing can happen.

Now reconnecting the battery and expecting everything to work properly with a FFRR is another matter!! At the very least remember to turn the steering lock to lock to cancel the Christmas tree lights on the dash (left then right) .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink
