Rear Calliper Piston Stuck

I'll do a separate write up on my calliper overhaul but you can see I had to resort to extreme measures to get my piston out.

I'm a big fan of 'make do and mend', but given that the rear callipers are pretty innexpensive, I think this may be taking the mantra to extremes! The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Pattern parts are cheap. TRW original ones aren't, they're about £200 each.

A piston and set of seals is about £25. I saw no point in chucking away the hydraulic body as that is absolutely fine inside. Christian.

£200!!!! Is that from a main dealer?

I had a few (TRW) rear calipers from an independent specialist on my old 3.6 TDV8 and they were under £100! The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom
