I have pressed the dealer further who now concedes that all AB's had the "remote key fob" facility but he wont provide one as the car came in without one. Quite unbelieveable as im shelling out £40k and he's quibbling over a £50 part 2015 Range Rover L405 SDV8 AB Corris grey

Slightly more than £50. They retail at £109 without the battery which is a further £9.

To Finish the story... the dealer asked for £400 to supply a fob and code it. I simply laughed and said you have to be joking!

You ought to report the dealer to LR customer service as that’s bang out of line. All A/B’s had remote park heat as standard fit. My 2015 has the second fob and it works well, though actually I rarely use it as I’ve programmed the timings on the info screen which is much easier!

I find the remote a bit rubbish, unless you are within about 10ft of the car it just gives the red flash. My old L322 remote used to work about 250 meters away and certainly anywhere in the house, this one has to be pointed out of the window nearest the car and even then only works 2nd or 3rd attempt Paul

Not sure if the spec changed but on our 15 plate MY16 AB the remote has never been used as you can also turn it on via the InControl app which doesn’t have the range limitations etc Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Mine is a MY19 but I’m pretty sure incontrol starts the engine rather than uses the FBH. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

That’s annoying, it certainly only starts the FBH on the MY16.

Cheeky . If all ABs of that year come with the FBH than the price you paid for the car should implicitly include that (unless the dealer had said beforehand it had no FBH). Pretty sure the dealer made sure to knock a few quid off the price of the car when taking it in if it didn't have the FBH. Or perhaps they hadn't noticed at the time.

Surely the dealer should have check the fob was available when they bought the car so imo it’s their cock up? My 2014 AB Fob works from a decent range and is extremely useful as I leave home at different times of the morning. Congratulations on the car. 718 GT4
