You can get the side boards for around £150 for a copy. Before you fit them cover them up in wax oil or something so that will protect it.

All of the electrics reside in the left hand side rear quarter. it's fairly common for the bluetooth module to get wet and when it packs in the whole system goes down as they're linked by the fibre optic network in the car.

As a very crude test you can remove (carefully) the fibres from the clip, get a BIC biro and cut the tube down and then put one fibre in each end to test it. It's not fool proof but can work, the other option you've got is to buy a loopback plug for it and bypass it.

If you want to go back to the standard look, I had 3 Supercharged alloys that I'm selling just now in the For Sale section. You'd need a 4th one but I'm not looking for a lot for them and would probably do a deal for the 3.

If one of the modules ain't firing properly it won't complete the circuit so it won't fire up properly.

Think of it if your car was only running on 7 cylinders instead of 8, its not the full ticket (a bit like most of my colleagues)

I think i'll go with them if I can sort logistics. eBays shipping program doesn't exclude VAT when shipping outside England. As I am currently stuck in Ireland, I will get double taxes on import.

Yea that's the project car. Had the car 5 years now and was doing well with rebuilding it till the ex stopped that happening. Hopefully next year it will be done year and ready to go round the nurburgring. It's going too be a fast road car that's also a weapon on the track as its having a 500bhp engine built.

Quick update..

Yesterday I received the GAP IID from a friend, which is great. I managed to run a scan, results below.

When I went to car today, it was dead. So connected up a pack, started fine - and to my surprise the radio was back working - here's hoping all electrical fixes are that easy LMAO!!

I had a quick run around the car with handbrake on and car in Reverse... Turns out 3 of the rear PDC sensors are gone (No clicking), where as all the others clicked. I also actually noticed the same corned with the faulty sensors got paint .. I could see the tape lines in the bumper gaps. I wonder is that a coincidence.. loose connections or something? Will need to get bumper off and investigate.

I also had a look at the spare wheel (Factory L322 Supercharged) and it's got a 275 wide tyre. Factory size is 250, and i'm wondering if 275 is ok on that. I am planning on buying the 3 wheels that dhallworth has for sale and moving over the wheels from the existing Sport wheels on the car.. If they are a safe fit, that could be a fairly decent set of events
