Missing boot floor strap/handle

Do I have to replace the boot floor, just because the handle is missing? Is there a suitable 'hack' for replacing it and perhaps a guide on here that someone has covered?

I had a couple of thick cable ties - they seemed to feed through OK, but didn't sit completely flat.
