I recently replaced the rear upper knuckle-to-wishbone bushings on my '07 td8. The old ones were worn and had a lot of play. I forked out for a genuine set from Moog, part no. RHF000260. Inserting the new took less effort than pulling the old, but I did have to wind them in and it never struck me that the interference fit was insufficient. Now, both of them have popped out of their bores, rendering the car undriveable and dangerous.

Have anyone of you had this happen? My theory is that they have tolerance-issues at the Moog production facility or I was sent the wrong part.

Before you start pointing out the obvious: No, I did not sand out the bores to remove rust. I didn't even go near them with anything abrasive. I sprayed them with WD40 and pulled a rag through them, that's it.

I think you are correct regarding the fit. I replaced my upper knuckle joints with Lemforder ones from Duckworths (site sponsor) in 2016, the part number is:- RHF000260G. They were a very tight fit.

I also have the lower ones to fit, again Lemforder ones from Duckworths, the part numbers are :-
Lemforder 28882 01 / Land Rover part number :- LR032644G

I wonder if the "G" suffix indicates a larger diameter....?

Someone else had this same problem recently ( I can't find the topic).

Best to get your bushes from LR (Duckworths) by sending your VIN, to ensure correct bushes. They should be as tight going in as they were coming out! .

Great to learn that I'm not alone. There must be something amiss at Moog. I have contacted their technical department for a statement, although I don't have high hopes. This could have been outright lethal if it happened at great speed, so maybe they should take an interest....

I'm sure I've read that the 'G' suffix means genuine. Something like 'P' is pattern and so on.

Moog don't supply OE parts to Land Rover. They are an aftermarket supplier. Ditto Meyle

Beware some of the eBay ads for quite a few parts use rather "dodgy" wording - inferring they are genuine Land Rover, but if you read the ad carefully only means they are Genuine Moog or Genuine Meyle NOT Genuine Land Rover.
