Are these brake pads OEM...!

Apart from the obvious health and safety issues it's rather disturbing that the highest quality part is the box... Shocked

A quick Google shows Diamond as a Japanese brake manufacturer..

Diamond Japanese Auto Parts LTD is a world’s leading company with more than 30 factories specialized in manufacturing varieties of high quality auto brake pads, brake linings and brake shoes for all kinds of models such as light, medium and heavy automobiles. The brakes produced by Diamond are characterized by stable braking performance, good abrasive resistance, high temperature resistance, no noise and pollution.

for all JAPANESE and KOREAN cars

So are these genuine or are they knock off's....

The Brembo "factory" is next door.... Shocked Shocked

I do like the ingenuity of these folk though... Pete

That's one reason I'm glad I only fit genuine brakes to my cars!

Actually, that's not quite true, I've used EBC Yellow Stuff before. I never know what to buy if I don't go genuine as I've heard bad things about Brembo brake discs and pads that Euro Car Parts sell too. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

The scarey bit for me is that I'm sure these ingenious chaps would have no problem finding different boxes/stickers to create any "brand" you wanted

Things I never skimp on:

Tyres as they are what connects you to the road, brakes as they will stop you in an emergency or day to day, maintenance as it’s a given you want a safe and reliable vehicle

Seeing the below though has brought back memories of the fake alloy wheels that used to be shipped to the UK, and they couldn’t take pot hole strikes at speed and split into pieces!!!

Interesting, seem rather slow progress to make some brake pads...Fair play to them though...

I just wished they'd sweep the floor around them. Why would anyone work in such a mess...

My point is that you will never know where your brakes are made, look at those boxes... put those pads in a posh box and it will fool anyone...

A recent inspection at a British Airways parts store found up to 30% of some spares were fake, they had filtered into the system from somewhere...!!

So next time you fit some brakes... give them a good test before you need them..!! Pete
