Don’t get worried, just make a point of getting the revs up above 2,500rpm every now and then.

I did suspect it may be oil collecting in the turbo, where it's not regularly used and therefore, there's no charged air to keep the oil within its channels. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

Another benefit of getting the second turbo spinning is the the CSOV air change over valve is prone to sticking due to lack of use, particularly if it has not been replaced with the later modified type.

Gary: I had similar issues but not exactly like yours. After I got a little excited on a slip road & passed everything in sight, the dreaded Restricted Performance light came on.

Easy fix = Boot it more often when warm. I do it every time I drive it and never see smoke and mine doesn’t have the turbo drain mod

Yes, I try and get my second turbo spun up every journey, once it’s warmed of course. Not had the turbo drain mod…. No issues….

A different question but on the same theme. Is there a way to toggle the cruise control with a speed limiter? I really miss being able to plant my foot in my Mercedes and never go faster than the limit I set for that road. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

No, it won’t do that. It will only Bong and issue a warning as you pass a predetermined speed previously set by yourself.

Gary: I've never used 'sport' mode, just select a gear with the paddles & gently run her up to the desired rpm....2800-3000 even at those revs, she still doesn't sound stressed! 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

I don’t even do that, I just press the accelerator faster and a bit further than normal and it changes down. I hold my foot there to stop it changing up till you run out of road lol.

At 50mph in D, drop it down 2 clicks on the "-" paddle and away you go! Shift up with the "+" paddle as you reach 3000rpm Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
