2006+ sat nav

I am after any info on the touch screen sat nav. If anyine knows of a service manual or what the pin outs on the connectors are.

May have a cunning plan that will give us all the latest maps. Very Happy What doesn't kill you is just bidding it's time.

The drive in the boot that reads the nav disc is connected to the head unit using fibre optics. It’s part of the MOST fibre optic ring that links all of the modules in the boot to the head unit. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

It’s not a standard fibre connector (LC or SC), it’s an automotive one I believe.

So far I have figured how to gain access to the CAN bus to grab the instructions from the head to swtch to sat nav. Now I need to work out how to pass the out put from the PI to the head unit. What doesn't kill you is just bidding it's time.

Having trouble finding a CAN fibre optic to ethernet converter for a PI. I am assuming that the CAN is fibre optic. Still not sure what the pin outs are on the sat nav. What doesn't kill you is just bidding it's time.

i think the only way you will get a feed into the head unit is by using the reverse cam or venture cam sockets with the help of a video interface box married with a navigation box.. ... - .- -.
