Second year with my L322 M62 | |
7th of October marked two years of ownership. A total of 45k km have been covered with daily use.
The only major and notable breakdown this year has been the PCV valve.
Of course there have been some other minor issues, such as the lock and the expansion tank but this was a used one fitted during Covid-19 1st lockdown as last resort and still lasted well over13 months.
Engine oil changes are being done every 10-12k km.
Over these 2 years, I have opted to spend some disposable income on improvements and preventative maintenance but bear in mind that these mostly have been optional intervention and restoration to factory standard...

All these might seem like a lot but this is a 17 yo vehicle, being somewhat unloved until purchased and put to daily use straight away! That's pretty bulletproof in my book...
Purchase cost was zero to me as I effectively swapped a luxury watch at huge profit for it and still had leftover funds out of this for insurance, road tax and first aid...
Many jobs done have been diy and a great pastime indeed...
Very happy with the fatty. I'm probably keeping her until the 405 prices come within reach...In fact I'm not thinking of ever selling at the moment...
