Not starting

Good evening all,

I have a bloody weird issue with my 2011 RR 4.4 TDV8.

A garage recently did some work on driver side air suspension- changed the full strut and ever since it’s had a number of errors on the dash. I was able to drive the RR home and even able to start the next morning to move it off the drive to another part of my farm.

I have been unable to start it since and tried a number of things to eliminate the issue.

New battery and confirmed all good by AA.
Three brake peddle switches
Checked all fuses in rear, under the bonnet and I’m glove box

I go to try and start and the dash lights come on but when I do the sequence of hold brake down and push button…nothing happens other than it switches the dash lights off.
I was able to use my Hawkeye total to check full diagnostic Modular’s but I can now only test engine and can’t get in to ABS etc. This was also the same with AA when he came out but had no luck in diagnosing or getting it started.

I really am at a loss here and only had it since May Sad

I have checked all cables and all seems ok but next job is check the cables in driver side wheel arch where they may have pulled or damaged something.

All the help is appreciated Smile

Thank you in advance

Sounds like you need diagnostics with a specific JLR reader

Generic ones can't get into the system far enough.

Don't remember there being much in the way of wires in the front arch but worth a look I suppose... Pete

Video what happens when you try and start it and upload it here. You might need to put it on YouTube and then link it to here.

Can you hear the starter motor click or anything at all like that?

I’m using Hawkeye which is for all Landrover models - never had an issue until now

How about eliminating a few things?
It’s worth connecting a jump lead from -ve terminal to the engine to rule out earth problems
Try putting 12V to the starter solenoid and see if it operates, if not try a 12V supply to the starter and try the solenoid again to rule out a starter problem
