as i have problems with the signal strength,
does anyone know what part number the antenna is or what type
of plug? i'm thinking about to give the signal direct to the tuner via cable!

after some months i'm now back on the project...
i tried to have a direct connection between the interface and the tuner,
i removed one antenna und put the cable straight into the connector.
"clear" analoge picture...
now i will find me a garage that installs me the stuff properly Smile

so the plan is to have a cheap dvb-t tuner hocked up to the original antennas..
controlled via a ir remote that puts analogue video to the rf interface, which is connected to
the old tuner that is set on one channel only, i hope it works Smile

again some pics...

the factory tuner? Thanks

Not clear from your photos but, as I understand it, you are inserting the new tuner between the aerial and the existing tv tuner. Is that correct?

If so how are you connecting the new tuner to the existing one.

I may have misunderstood. John

I have a RF modulator for car purposes that gives me a simple analogue tv output to the existing tuner.
The existing tuner remains on one channel only and gets the signal from the modulator.
The new tuner will give its output to the new modulator.

the thing is, i need a power source for the 2 devices that is switched with the old tuner, so if the existing one is on,
the new tuner and the modulator should be activated. so i'm thinking about to get the 12v power from the
existing cable that goes into the old tune, so to divert the cable and use it.

is this possible?

I would use the power supply to the old tuner to switch a relay and take the power feed from the other side of the boot were the second fuse box is Thumbs Up

So your digital tuner outputs an analogue RF signal ? as opposed to tapping a video feed in to the tuner, assuming that there is such a thing... there are 3 on the BMW style tuners Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

ok i see, i know what i want but not how to install it properly Laughing
i need someone to install me the stuff...

i have a seperate RF modulator that should then be between the digital and the old tuner!
