Does anyone do remote key upgrades? (2011 L322)

Hi,

I did a search of the Wiki but couldn't find anything.

Is there anyone on this site that does remote key upgrades for the 2011 SmartKey to the 2014 style?

I noticed there's someone on the RRS forums who did it but the thread is from 2016 so, looking for confirmation of something more current and from this site:

With replacement Key shells for this style Key the same kind of cost as getting the fob upgraded, I'm keen to get both of my fobs done. Or even if someone did a DIY guide somewhere to buy the shells and do it myself.

The shells for the old 3 button key used to be about £9 from duckworthparts There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Upgraded them myself in the end. It took maximum 15 minutes to do the job for both keys, including setting and tidying up.

I bought genuine remote shells because of reports on many of the fake remotes, the symbols rub off after a few months. The shells are £15 from main dealer (so hardly breaking the bank) and the chrome sides are £22. I sourced them from a Land Rover main dealer online for £30 a set however.

Looks really good, could you link to where you bought the shells?

I wrote a How To guide if anyone wants to do the same:

I searched dealers and rang one up but the Land Rover main dealer in Plymouth sells them on eBay for £34.99 delivered:
