Well not sure if I'm mad or just stupid. Sold my Jaguar s type 4.2v8 with only 52k on the clock. First thing I did go and buy a 2002 HSE 4.4v8. Now I paid only 1400 for it with only 120k on the clock. So far replaced a bulb that's is. Touching every bit of wood I can see! So far no other issues. I'm planning on a full service including the gearbox. Anything else I should be doing?

Go and pay your local mot tester a few quid and get them to do a thorough check if it in the air and let you know if it needs anything. Other then that long as the chain is good there's not much with the m62 engine

Awesome thank you. It's booked for an mot next Saturday. Fingers crossed. But hey if it fails it can always be fixed. Must say it's a lovely drive and wish I got one sooner.

£1400 cheep as chips whats it like for rust ?

It has a few rust bubbles but generally not that bad. Bottom of tailgate is clean. Wheel arches are clean. I've had a look underneath and apart from surface rust looks to be in good shape. I will be cleaning it off and protecting it soon.

Great colour (the best!!)
