Just a tip for fitting the car play. Try and pick up the cable with the blue plug that goes into the box (the TV one, if i remember correctly. Get one from a breakers or if someone is breaking on here. What you want is one with a long tail on it. It makes fitting much less of a fiddle.

If you use your existing one it tends to be a bit short for the connections. I got one from someone on here who was breaking and it made a real difference having an extra foot. (Peg the Leg )

You should see what I mean from their fitting video.

It's a pretty straightforward job and modernises the system.

Seeing your model year I might be at cross purposes. Nothing new.  John

I use the Scosche MagicMount Vent. It's small, discrete and my phone has never come off.

I'd definitely recommend it.
