United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Siberian Silver
France trip

Just got back after 12 days in France and was really pleased at how simple it was. Just needed to show our NHS passes at every Hotel, Bar and Restaurant. The Eurotunnel was also very easy as I uploaded all the required forms for our outbound journey and breezed through the check in. Biggest delay going outbound was the French passport control as the bloke was too busy chatting with his colleague. On our return I had to complete and upload the passenger locator form which was the biggest hassle. First it said I could not complete the form until I had departed the country and when I tried to complete it in France it then said I could not complete it until 48 hours before my departure. Quite why it had these restriction I have no idea. Also had to take a Covid test which we also uploaded to the Eurotunnel site. Eventually managed to complete the passenger locator form and uploaded it all to the Eurotunnel site and, when we checked in in France, we went straight through as it used number plate recognition so there were no manual checks.
Car ran perfect and averaged over 32 Mpg with a mix of N roads and D roads (no motorways). Having previously ran a D3 V8 it was a pleasant surprise as anything over 20 Mpg would have been good for me.

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

Just planning Oct break now so info is useful, not sure the kids can go to France tho, so more research needed….. it’s confusing, constantly changing, and even me with my size XL noggin needs to sit down for a min to work it all out!

On the other hand, never known another potteries resident with the name Ivan…. For some reason my old man made it my middle name….. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Excellent you had a relatively stress free trip. We’re planning to go back early next year, as we decided no this year when we were allowed. visiting from www.rrsport.co.uk

United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Corris Grey

Thanks Ivan. Funny you wrote this today as I started looking at crossings, to visit my visit my in-laws, this morning. We usually get the ferry over from Poole to Cherbourg but they aren't running until next March. We can however, sail from Portsmouth. I hope the trip in our L405 goes as smoothly as yours has. Kev
