Calling all iPad experts “again”
My 2011 sat nav has got me lost yet again in the depths of Snowdonia.
Hence I am again trying to link my iPhone 7 (which gets shed loads of free data every month ) and use either the iPad maps or Google maps as a satnav. (I don’t like Waze)

If I connect to the wifi personal hotspot on my iPhone it says “low data mode “

I have been trying to find out how to improve the connection to full speed but without success, so any help appreciated.

Not sure if this is what you mean but If it’s your iPad that goes into low data mode then once it connects to the WiFi hotspot go to settings > WiFi > little blue ‘I’ next to the connected WiFi hotspot and disable low data mode.

You can also disable low data mode on the iPhone by going to settings > mobile data > mobile data options and turn it off there.

Think it’s the first option above that you need though ?
