Got an e-mail from the local Dealer (Guy Salmon) on Friday stating 'LOOKING TO PART EXCHANGE FOR A NEW LAND ROVER? WE’LL GIVE YOU THE BEST PART EXCHANGE PRICE FOR YOUR CAR PLUS AN ENHANCED INCENTIVE TO BUY NEW'

Finally got offered a price from Motorway, that was too good to ignore, so RR now gone. Car went to Hatfields Land Rover Pickering. Not too much drama with the collection, the bloke inspected it and ensured I received payment before driving off. I have an interim car (Jaguar XF Supercharged) whilst the Macan is being built, but I expect the build date to slip to late 2022, so I will probably be looking into the possibility of an L460 (chip shortages notwithstanding!) in the future.

That won't scare you, my wife's Golf has similar performance, but the fuel consumption might. I have a friend who went from an M4 competition to a Turbo (so same engine/tune as the latest GTS) and was shocked when he struggled to get 20mpg even on a run. But if you only do a couple of thousand miles a year it will be fine and it's a lovely car. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid MY19 SDV8 Autobiography - Sold |

I am used to fantastic fuel consumption having owned an L322 5.0 S/C previously I am 10th in the queue out of 30 for the GTS, but the build dates just keep moving right. That said, the Jaguar XF S/C is an amazing drive, I am one very happy chappie. I put the deposit down a week ago on Saturday and the garage has had 36 enquiries since, so I consider myself lucky and the performance is only a second (0-60 mph) behind the GTS and the switchgear all so familiar being JLR. The Range is gone, but certainly not forgotten and I am sure I'll be back (thanks Arnie!) SDV8 AB MY 2019

The XF is a great car. We’ve got a 2014 XFR that we’ve looked at changing a few times but for what it’s worth there’s nothing out there I’d fancy replacing it with. Whilst it’s doing 2.5k a year it’s not worth spending more then double what the XFR is worth to change it either. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

Understand that completely. Keep the XFR! I am bowled over by the XFS, what a driving machine. I have driven Merc's, BMW's and unfortunately Audi's in the past and this car is so much more a drivers car SDV8 AB MY 2019
