So long County Land Rover

County Land Rover in Barnstaple, selling LR’s since 1952.

This is what happens when LR overplay their hand and insist on a multi million pound gin palace showroom Sad

I was in that showroom on the 13th of May 1992 when my wife phoned to say she had gone in to labour.
Shame, will be interesting to see if anyone else picks up the baton. letters not necessarily in the right order

Bad news for sure Red… I think the likes of Guy Salmon have grown sooooooo big now, they are almost “the tail that wags the dog” when it comes to JLR demanding for ‘mega centres’ to be built! It means good old competition get forced out! Rolling Eyes

They have not grown big based upon their customer care!

Shame as I bought two LR products over the years from them. Always found them friendly and willing to do a good deal. "YYS" G4 FFRR

My local Land Rover dealership, or at least it was. Sad as it was quite a nice set up from the fakery in the big dealerships. Small place and everyone was very polite in there. Just before it shut they had a fully restored series 1 Land Rover dead centre of the show room.

Land Rover told them they had to spend an absolute fortune on bringing it to the standard of the other dealerships in the country and unfortunately they could not afford it. They still have parts desk in there for Land Rover parts but that’s all that remains of the brand.
