I am in the market for some new 22" tyres for my L405.

I am a bit of a tyre snob so will probably end up buying the OE Conti's or Michelin's.

Michelin PS4s's are not much dearer than PS4's and I might normally pay up for the superior tyre but I have read reports that the PS4s is noisier at higher speed despite having a lower db number 71(vs 72 for the PS4)

Does anyone have any experience to share?

The car is almost always on road, virtually never off road, and often sits on motorways at 70mph ish

I tend to agree which is why I admit to being a bit of a tyre snob - the Pirelli’s with the noise cancelling foam are the only other option imho. They look much quieter and noise is probably the biggest differentiator because I can’t see my me using anywhere near the ultimate grip levels in the 405 - I just waft around in it!

I would stick with All Seasons as you’re covered throughout the year and will avoid the potential embarrassment of getting stuck if it snowed heavily. My neighbour with a Q7 (which I appreciate isn’t the same as a FF) couldn’t get out of our road when it snowed heavily a couple of years ago and then caught the wheel on the kerb. My wife had a Boxster at the time which had winters on, so I had to give that a go and it drove straight up the hill without any issues at all, the only other car to do it that day was a 90 LR.

Back to the question, when I replace my tyres I’m sticking with Pirelli but will go for the Scorpion Zero All Seasons rather than the Verdes. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

I have anl322 and run Michelins for summer brilliant tyre I have Goodyear ultra grip winters which I find good as well
It was Alistair and Mr Tee that got me into Michelins thanks chaps

Zero's look more performance oriented, Verde's are more comfort focussed - correct?

If so it will Verde's for me I guess - upside is Verde's also look harder wearing according to the Pirelli website.

They are a little less hard wearing and a little more ‘sporty’ but I think they are also a bit quieter and have a lower rolling resistance. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid
