Our 2012 Autobiography

Been a member on here for a while and never posted any pictures anywhere other then in our old for sale thread so thought it was about time to get some up!

Here's our 2012 TDV8 Autobiography in Baltic Blue with Sandstone Interior...

Our L322 does around 4000 miles a year, all of which are done in Spring/Summer as it lives in the shed away from salt all winter. Our old one had done 24k when we sold it to Jason on here.

We have 2 4.6 P38's that we use for running around in so we can keep the L322 for high days and holidays. There's also a P38 for spare parts as it was easier to buy a whole car then just the bits we needed and we've got a V6 Freelander as well.

I can't believe it's nearly 10 years since we got this car.

Other then 2 replacement starter motors (never actually left us stranded) an EGR valve temperature sensor which was damaged during the oil drain modification and servicing, it's been a great car

The caravan has been down in Preston for servicing and repairs since October. They rang the other day and said they had a lorry passing Glasgow on the way to Aberdeen and would we like it delivering to Hamilton services... seemed a no brainer and seeing as the weather was good, the AB got a good run.

She ticked over a new milestone too

She's still running on her original tyres and original brakes although the tyres will be binned in the next few weeks. Amazingly, as she lives indoors all year round, there's not even any cracks on the tyres at 9 years old.

Last week whilst out for a run this car ticked over 24k miles. It was filthy so I spent 5 hours going over it from top to toe yesterday.

Started with the wheels - pH neutral wheel cleaner with a detail brush for the face and a Meguiars brush to do the barrels. Few spots on the back of the barrels so hit it with fallout remover and then washed them with shampoo. Moved on and did the tyres with Gyeon tyre shampoo as well before rinsing both.

Sprayed a Citrus Degreaser around the bottom half of the car before using Gyeon bug removed on the front end and mirror covers followed by a rinse.

Hit it with snow foam at 30 degrees from the pressure washer and left it for 10 minutes before a rinse.

Washed it with Gyeon shampoo using a lambs wool wash mitt before a rinse.

Then as a boost I used Gyeon Wet Coat as it wasn’t beading as well as normal. Finished the tyres with Gyeon Q2 tire.

The lettering on the old number plates had started to go grey so it was treated to a new set of number plates courtesy of Duckworths too

I then noticed the tow bar on it was starting to look a little scruffy and when I looked under it I noticed some of the paint was starting to lift on the back box so I rubbed the tow bar and the exhaust down and gave them a lick of paint just to tidy it up.

Noticed after I’d taken the pictures I’d missed the bottom of the bumper so went and got my wash mitt out again
