You don’t need a laptop for the non-BT tool but you can connect it to a laptop if you’d prefer to use it rather than the instrument pack LCD. Ron B. VK2OTC

Thanks. I assume though that the non bluetooth version if used on a laptop does everything that the bluetooth version does ? Fault Code clearing, Suspension calibration, etc. etc. |

I think I might have to actually do some reading up on the IID Tool as I was thinking that the non bluetooth version has some software for a laptop that is almost the same as the BT App for phones etc, so you can do everything from there rather than having to use the steering wheel controls in the car. Or is that incorrect ? |

I have the non IID tool - the laptop software is actually not recommended to be used by GAP! It really depends on how often you'll need to use the tool etc, I have an ARTEL which does a fair amount, that combined with the IID tool is enough to get everything I need done. I've not used the laptop software yet as the steering controls aren't difficult to use and I couldn't justify spending the extra £200-£250 I would have needed to spend on a Bluetooth version

Ok thanks, I've also got a icarsoft which has come in very useful to look at the occasional issue that's happened. Maybe the non bluetooth would be alright for the odd occasion I might need it, and £100'ish sounds about right to me. |
