2011 Range rover third brake light bulb

Hi,

It seems that one bulb of my third high brake light (if you get what I mean) is not working.

Before I take it all out I thought Id get a replacement bulb.

What types of bulbs do I need?

Many thanks for advice

Cheers

I believe it’s a complete unit, folk don’t normally replace individual bits. Not sure if they are LED or not. Mine has about a third of it failed…. MOT needs half working to pass.

If you manage to get inside and fix it, keep us posted.

Think the new unit is £120 odd, unless you get a Chinese one from the bay of e.

I've not done a land rover one, but I have done one on my wife's TF, that is also a sealed unit but with some care I managed to open that up and replaced the non working led, and then glued it back together.
I would definitely try and do my ff one if it failed.

Funnily enough, I replaced the one on our FF yesterday. The original was sunburnt.

€19 via Amazon Prime.

Fits perfectly, just had to cut and replace the plug, other than that, I see no difference - only time will tell.

Norway 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

Bit of a side track this, but since Brexit I've stopped buying stuff from the UK. It just takes too long to arrive in Germany, up to 3 weeks and then I have to pay extra import taxes and handling fees. Earlier it took a coupe if days.
Luckily we have Amazon here and that works just fine.
It's a pity really since I've enjoyed Powerful UK and others quite a bit during my LR/RR ownership.

However, it's going to be much more of a headache when I'm moving back to Norway due to the very expensive handling fee for imported stuff...and we don't have Amazon nor Ebay...

I really regret not buying the tailgate brake light earlier (and a few other items), need to get mine changed too and the smoked version from Powerful would look great on my rig Cool ----------------

Yep, totally agree, ikjos.

Powerful UK no longer currently ships to the EU and other places have become crazy expensive...it's now better value to go to the local main LR dealer for parts, who would ever have thought that?

An example I had this week: I purchased a book from the UK, it was £35. It was then £9 shipping and then another 12EURO import duty upon arrival...on a £35 book! It took 4+ weeks to get here. Not again.

This now means I won't use Duckworths, Rimmer Bros, Island 4X4 etc, just not worth it and such a shame.

How is this helping UK business? I run TWO RRs. Go do the math! 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster - Baltic Blue, Jet interior
